Ben is a very well spoken young man. He spoke mainly about their win and then was ask about his committment to UAB. He said he was committed and was not looking, but if other schools came to him he would listen

Since you know a recruit (very well), what effects do you think a coaching change will have on Steve and his peers? I don't see recruits jumping off in waves if Neil gets the boot.

I know you didn't direct that question to me, but I know that the advice given to at least one of our over the mountain commitments is to stay committed, see what happens, meet with the new coach and his staff, and then decide what is best. I believe he is following that advice.

I know the stadium issue is a problem, but I know at least two commitments are happy about the UAB fanbase's outpouring of displeasure with the decision. Knowing that the fans are passionate makes it desireable to come play at that school.

I hope the next coach can build on these commitments!

Yeah--I know other schools are gonna get in our guys' ears about the coaching change and stadium issue, but I think we'll be just fine, especially with our local kids (who I think committed to UAB, not a coach or anything else).

Other schools are in their ears now. I hope any new coach makes a big effort to keep our class together. Good luck to Craft in the semis this week.
