If I am not mistaken Louisville was one of the Top 5 schools that produced NFL players this year. I know Oklahoma was number 1 and USC and Virginia were up their as well.

Oklahoma - 11
Florida State - 9 (inlcuding Adrian McPherson)
Wisconsin - 7
Virginia - 7
Louisville - 6
Georgia - 6
Not bad for a so called overrated team. We made more draftees then schools like Texas, Miami, Auburn and Michigan.

Also was a good sign when your third string RB gets drafted by the NFL. :)

We had nobody drafted as expected but had 3 players sign Free Agent Contracts. SS Jarvis Johnson and DT Gary Gibson with the Baltimore Ravens and DT J'Vonne Parker with the Cleveland Browns. I wish all three of my fellow Rutgers Men the best of luck in the league.

Thats some good info SO#1. This was a bad year for the BE all the way around. I think because Pitt and SU's teams a re so young is the reason for the shortfall. SU is usually good for 3 or 4 players drafted almost every year. Pitt is usually good for a couple every year as well. Surprised that Walter Reyes did not get drafted. Very surprised that Diamond Ferri didnt get picked up.
The USA Today said that Oklahoma had 11 players all by themselves drafted. But Jason White did not get picked up. This was a very starnge draft.

Great stats SO#1.....2004 was probably the worst BE football will ever in terms of talent and we still did well enough in the NFL draft ...I think that is a good sign for the future

From Scarletknights.com on Parker since he only played one season for us:
Parker, from Newark, NJ, is an imposing physical presence at 6-6, 345-pounds. He played in 11 games in 2004, his lone season at Rutgers, and contributed 19 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss. Parker came to Rutgers after playing two seasons at Howard University.
“I’m elated with this opportunity,

Jason White is easily explainable, Heisman winner certainly, but he isn't a pro-Quarterback he's a College Quarterback. I doubt he would amount to that great of a QB in the league.
Diamond Ferri is undderrated and less recognized than he should be. Reyes is a surprise I would have figured him to be a mid-round pick.
