VT was 10-5 against WVU in the Big East. VT is 55-12 in the ACC. Not sure what you are getting at. Nobody is afraid of WVU's team. They are afraid of getting killed attending a football game.

It wasn't due to realignment but Alabama vs Georgia Tech was huge at one point. They've met 52 times with a 28/24 'Bama advantage. For the 4 decades when Auburn and Alabama were barred from playing, this was one of the biggest rivalries. It's been 27 years since they last met when Ga State's current coach, Bill Curry led Tech to an upset of the Tide. They're supposed to do a home/home sometime this decade.
