Rian Pearson with 25 points in 28 minutes.
14 TOs to 14 assists. While Texas St. had 21 assists to 6 TOs.

And does someone want to tell me why, on the stat sheet, we had 223 total minutes between our players while Texas St. had 241???

Geez no wonder so many points were scored!!!!

What were the rebounding totals?

25-20, UT with the edge.

That's good to hear. Certainly some positive things to build on...thankfully for my blood pressure, my expectations for bball are much lower than for football. I think we're in for an entertaining bball season, and maybe just a year away from a winning season.

Wow. A couple of bricklayers from last year go 8-8 from the line in the forms of Holladay and Dear. Can't remember when we shot that well from the line.

If Curtis Dennis was eligible, I think we would have won the game. The lack of depth is going to hurt until he gets on the court.

OK, now I know why I can't remember- second best all-time.

RE: UT vs Texas State
Having another body (Dennis) will be nice, but I wish it were a bigger body. I'm not sure what to make of the rebounding stats. According to the UT website, there were only sixteen rebounds available at the Rocket end of the court. We got four of them and Texas State got 12. I'm not sure how that works when we missed 27 shots. I understand a few might have gone out of bounds or been at the buzzer, but that many? The stats show that TSU had eight offensive rebounds to our four. Our 25 to 20 rebounding advantage was due to the fact that there were many more rebounds available (29) at the Texas State end of the court.
