&nbsp; I think the problem is that none of you will be the next Miami, let alone the next Virginia Tech.&nbsp; Louisville is a decent replacement for Boston College.</span>
Elder; In 1 week, you have gone from being a classy poster to not being a classy poster. I guess your true colors are coming out. Here is why I say this: Dennis Dodd is a very prominent writer for a very promminent news and sports organiztion. Yet you refuse to accept what he says about Louisville being the next Miami.

Then you go and start another thread about the national view of the BE, where you quote some unknown writer who writes for a pretty much nobody sports column. This person simply says that "even the BE is not as deep as the MWC".

MWC- Six of nine programs had losing records for the 2004 season.

BE- Six of eight programs had winning seasons and went to bowl
games.

If my favorite team was stuck in the non bcs MWC, I would grab for straws too.

It is obvious that you have a strong dislike for the BE by all of your ridiculous posts, but try looking at the big picture without MWC colored glasses. The BE is better than the MWC, plain and simple. The numbers speak for themselves. You can continue to talk about the MWC with Boise and Fresno until you turn blue in the face, it does not make it any better at this time. So deal with it.

I believe Louisville has the potential to seriously contend for the Big East Championship over the next several years. Louisville is taking the steps needed to become "big time" and I feel we'll see a solid team fielded year in and year out.
Obviously, WVU, Pitt and Syracuse will be the main obstacles the Cardinals will have to overcome. Given a little time, UConn will quickly move up into this list. USF, Cincy and Rutgers could always have a solid team that could upset the season.
IMO, I think the Louisville vs. West Virginia matchup has the makings of a great rivalry within the conference. It could become the Front Yard Brawl. The proximity of the schools should result in packed stadiums for both schools.

There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

Nobody knows what the future holds or whether we will drop off; for instance how long will Petrino stay? But I know there won't be much drop off for us this coming season as we are loaded once again.

Our recruiting keeps getting better and better; we have plenty reason to believe we can become a consistent football power.

But at the same time I hope we stay humble.

You're all wrong, West Virginia is the new Miami. :D
prove it on the field with Louisville, it all smack talk until you do!
