You do realize we have had stadium capacity of 50k for 1 season right? I hope your not as stupid as you appear.

You do realize you tout 50k strong nonstop, but havent actually averaged 50k ever? Thats pretty stupid. You guys have spent plenty of time at the 30k mark, interesting all we hear about is the one time in your history you averaged over 44k. 50k STRONG!!!!!!!

Umm we have had the ability to average over 44k for 1 1/2 seasons. The lowest attendance we have had since the stadium expansion was 48.5k for the Memphis game last season. We have been at around 99% capacity since opening the new expansion last year. Would you prefer we say 49.5k strong? Would that make you feel better?

Feel free to go look if you want, but there hasn't been a game with less than 49k tickets sold. Also with your teams recent performance I don't think I would talk crap about anyone being mediocre, but that's just me.

What does my teams performance have to do with yours? Were both mediocre, and thats on a good day. Typical insECUre fan, always projecting onto others.

I didn't start anything with you. You come here and want to run attendance and team smack against ECU when your team loses both categories right now. You are out of the conference race now, while we are tied for first. You have lost to a Suck-Belt team, a winless UAB team, and are 3-3 in a league that you think is so beneath you. So what was your point besides trolling and smack talking?

Wow tremendous reasoning from a typical EZU fan. Guess who started this attendance smack thread? an EZU fan! Did you just skip the first 50 posts where you guys were all slapping eachother on the back for your long history of great fanbases?

College football fans don't go to games on Thursday nights. Alumnus need to drive to their alma matter and spend the day tailgating on SATURDAYS. Every Thursday night game has poor attendance... unless your @Mississippi State( not sure how they pulled that off ) against LSU in week one.

Wow, with all the smack talk aimed at UCF you'd think we hadn't won the East 3 of the last 6 years (more than anyone in CUSA since joining), won CUSA 2 (tied for the most), and were the only CUSA team to beat an SEC team in Memphis. Jesus people, they had to choose someone and they chose a deserving candidate. ECU, Tulsa, and USM are also deserving candidates, and teams that I'd love to make the move with us. But see, here's the thing, *WE DON'T GET TO MAKE THAT DECISION*.

We are doing the same thing that you would all do given the same option, and you're somehow wanting to flame us for it? You do realize how utterly idiotic that is, right?

No you don't get it.

ECU+So Miss+Tulsa are only worthy of going.

SMU+Houston+UCF suck and shouldn't be any conversation with ECU+So Miss or Tulsa.

I'll stand up for ECU as a Tar Heel. Yes, their fans can call us names but that's no different than any other school in the state that's a rival to us, and ECU is a rivalry game. ECU, without question, deserves the number 2 slot in this Big East expansion behind Boise State. There is no other program in the Big East expansion besides Boise that has been more consistent on the field for the longest period of time. They have consistently high attendance at football games and play the best teams, such as VT this year, very competitively. I don't care what Houston is doing this year - it's momentary success compared to what ECU has consistently displayed over the last decade. The only two things against them are the non-football sports and the TV market. But this expansion for the Big East is football driven ... right????

I agree. ECU fans showed out in force for a neutral site game with South Carolina in Charlotte. If the Big East wants to bring in teams that will be competitive nationally in football, ECU should be on the top of their list

Yep. Because UCF nor Houston haven't been competitive nationally the previous 3 years and haven't beaten BCS schools nor been ranked.

I guess you have no clue on Houston's CUSA winning % in football since 2005 then. Because from the tone of this, you don't. Factor in Houston's BCS wins as well - times ranked in 25 and Conference Title...etc.

I want to feel bad for them, because their school certainly deserves a spot in the Big East, but man their fans are so easy to hate.

Appreciate the kind words, and looking forward to coming to Columbia next season. Had a great time in Charlotte and met some good USC fans. Good luck against Arkansas.

Was that game on a Thursday?

No...but it was a labor day weekend game...and close to a 5 hour drive from Greenville. BTW...UCF's crowd was good last night. Anyone that says otherwise is being silly.

RE: Tulsa @ UCF on Thu Night making the point better than I can
I've often been embarrassed by some of the smack that certain members of our fanbase have previously put on here. I've also been a firm advocate of ECU being a worthy candidate for expansion. The crap being spewed on here, on behalf of ECU, is absolutely comical.

The game at UCF last night was a recipe for disaster, in regards to attendance; UCF has had a disappointing/poor season thus far, the game was on a Thursday night, etc... In spite of that, it was a solid crowd.

Certain ECU fans are downright delusional in regards to their teams' performance in recent years.

With that said, I, and most UCF fans, will genuinely miss playing ECU; typically a quality opponent with a passionate fanbase. Have loved our rivalry with you guys and will legit miss it.
