Hunter Becomes the Hunted...
After much Herd talk about coming after our quarterback, here's the motivational video our staff put together in response:

Enjoy!

We all know how it all ended: Houston 63 Opponent 28

GO COOGS!!!

RE: Hunter Becomes the Hunted...
You guys are good on Offense there is no doubt. Great skill players and great QB. Its about what I expected from the game, and I was actually quite surprised to see our offensive output go up as much as it did. None of this changes the fact that our O-line cannot run block, not even a little, and our secondary plays too far off the ball for fear of getting beat, and our linebackers are slow and can't tackle. All three were a concern entering the season, and a great offense just shows you what you knew was coming. Keenum makes all the right reads at the line. That said, once AJ gets some more game experience, he's going to be a hell of a QB. We are really young, and have a lot of young talent, and hopefully will have a bright future ahead. But we definetly aren't a senior laden team.

Also, really not sure what this is doing on the realignment board, other than to try to tout UH for Big East inclusion more. We know you're good on Offense. You should be with a QB that is playing his 6th season and should already be in the NFL.

It's all good Herd! You guys do have a bright future! AJ will be something special! You guys actually had me and others a bit concerned! You have beaten some good teams (e.g. Southern Miss) and were to be taken seriously! So again, with the smack talk in the press (be it right or wrong), we had only one response..."go get'em!" Good luck the rest of the way! We may see one another again in the "champ" game...

GO COOGS!!!

It has nothing to do with Houston to the Big East or whatever, is more of the heard defense stating they were coming after Keenum to take him out of the game early and that they did. Good job 04-bow.

Ok...maybe this belongs on the CUSA forum! But, is this more questionable/classless than MU targeting our quarterback? Flash back to Buddy Ryan's Eagles!

RE: Hunter Becomes the Hunted...
Michigan State Defense said worse about Russell Wilson and they had it quoted on TV, and they thought it was fine on ESPN. They said their plan was to hurt him bad, and take him out of the game.

While it's the D's job to get to the QB and sack him, I don't really care for anyone saying thier plan is to take them out. But if ESPN is quoting it on screen I guess they don't think it's that bad.

I didn't care for seeing your backup either. He's pretty good too. A he's a senior too I think, right?

"Wisconsin should know we're coming," Lewis said. "They have a good offense, and that quarterback. But they should just know our defense is coming. And just like any other team, if they're throwing the ball up, our DBs are going to go get it, our linebackers are going to go get it and our linemen are getting after the quarterback. And they're going to hurt him."

RE: Hunter Becomes the Hunted...
You need to remember that in football you're trained from a young age to know the explicit difference between 'hurt' and 'injure'. It's one of the first things you learn, as you are expected to play hurt whereas you are obviously off the field if you are injured. And an important part of a defenses job is to 'hurt' the offensive players, they want WR's with crocodile arms, they want QB's panicking, and they want RB's going down early.

Still, a dumb comment.

I think Southern Miss would represent the best match up against Houston in a Championship game. Houston fans should enjoy this ride. Keenum is an unbelievable QB and when the Offense that Houston runs and now that ECU runs has a great QB with quality targets it is a fun thing to watch. Houston is set up for success with a SOS over 100 so it will interesting to watch if they end up in the Liberty Bowl and the SEC sends a decent team. If the SEC sends a dog no pun intended like UGA who went last year then I think UH crushes them. If they send a decent SEC team wtih speed in the secondary and ability to put pressure on Keenum by the DLine and LBrs it will be a fun game to watch. I would love to see UH go undefeated and climb in the ranks enough to maybe be able to play Boise St. in a BCS Bowl. I think that would be an awesome game to watch and the over/under would have to be 100pts +

Well this TURD came in with a late hit on a scramble by Case and went STRAIGHT for his knee. Case had been on the ground for almost 2 seconds and he comes flying in not for the body but the knee for a guy already on the ground!!
