I'm no Depaul Fan, but those of you should know Mikan had more of an influence on the pro game than almost anyone.

The lanes were widened to 12 feet because he dominated down low. The NBA put in a clock because the strategy was to make sure he didn't get the ball.

When Mikan was commissioner of the American Basketball Association, he iniated the three point line and the red white and blue basketball.
