They shouldn't have moved the game up from Saturday.

I don't like this, and I don't like justifying it, but this year is a throw-away year with this being Callaway's last season and the stadium being built in 2-3 years. Hindsight is 20/20 but I wish we pulled the trigger last year, but UAB knew that we could hire a better coach the next year.

The crowd reflects the fact that UAB surrendered this year.

It really is quite sad..........When you have the more coaches and players on the field than the entire crowd(including visitors).

Beer sales might help student attendance? 03-idea

This offers a compelling philosophical question..

If UCF loses BUT there is no one there to see it, does it REALLY count???

Really?

Yeah you guys are so awesome. Awesome enough to get CUSA BCS status all by yourself. Oh wait.

Yeah well you guys don't have much to brag about considering you average 22K a game the last five years and are located in the 4th most populated city in America.

LOL, 5 year average? You're reaching there.

More recently, we're at about ~98% capacity, and have sold out 7 of our last 9 games.

Good, and you should be with a top 25 team.

04-cheers True!

At least the SMU players families appear to be showing up to their games. I'm not even sure the UAB players are so lucky.
Is there a step below pee-wee football?

UAB will be fine. Whats sad is that a few programs who CUSA made (especially UCF) are now talking about how bad it was. If it wasnt for CUSA you guys would still be getting whipped by Toledo and Ohio but hey thats beside the point now. Geez I used to like UH and UCF (never cared for SMU) but the sooner they get out the better.

I agree with this. UAB will be fine. It appears they're working these issues out and Birmingham is a great city in the heart of CUSA country. Those folks just need a good product.

You will not hear me say how bad CUSA was. I take pride in my alma mater being a founding member. That's why, even as there were people trying to say we'd leave for another non-AQ (MWC), I never felt that was a remote consideration.

The only scenario that UH would have ever left CUSA was if an AQ conference came calling. CUSA saved our program when we became disenfranchised. I don't think any of us imagined what the BCS was going to do to college sports when we were left out of the SWC-Big 8 merger. Thank God for CUSA.

Holy cow. Just got home and flipped on the game. Why not just open the gates and let anybody in?

Basically every school in CUSA is represented in this thread, but you apparently only take offense to UH and UCF posters.

You have a problem, dude.

Trust me. I feel your pain!

I just saw Kim Helton. The last time Kim Helton had his fingers on our program the apathy of our fanbase was on its way to reaching epic proportions. Coincidence? I don't think so..

As opposed to you who follows me around like a kitten? Run along little kitten and go play with your new friends behind the dumpster.
