North Texas, Temple, FIU on the C-USA side to put us at 12 if we lose three. And San Jose State, Utah State, La Tech and NIU? On the MWC side if they lose two to put that side at 12. For a 24 team league. That would add the Philly, Dallas, Miami, San Jose and Chicago markets. I guess you could move UTEP to the MWC side and either La Tech or NIU to the C-USA side?

For what it's worth - the word on the UCF board is "Tuesday is the day" - though it had some to do with the media teleconference scheduled...which the Big East has said will not have major news...

Screw UTSA. Those guys need to pay their dues. As it is, they're already moving up to the WAC. That's plenty for a university currently losing to Division II and III teams, and without even a football team last year.

Does anyone else thinks Tallgrass may be........well........special? I bet he is old....like in his 60's or something.

I'm excited for UTSA's and UNT's potential, but I can see why Miners want them to earn their dues. Especially UTSA who's only played a handful of college football games!

The only thing that bugs me is that they have copied UTEP quite a bit, but other than that it might be good to get the SA market. It's closer than other markets for us and it would be good for recruiting in Texas.

I also understand why some UTEP fans wont want them, its understandable but other schools were fast tracked too because of their markets. It might happen here too if our tv partners want that market in this new alliance.

UNT will also likely benefit solely because of their market. Other than that not sure why we would want them, well besides their amazing new stadium that has a large tail.. or so I hear.

I'll admit, those colors are so damn similar (but that's part of the problem with the UT- system, all universities need to share the color orange which only really combines well with a dark blue). I think UTEP and UTSA could be a damn nice rivalry in the future where fans would travel well (I know a ton of people with networking in both cities).
