Awesome
Today I was able to sit down and flip between the FSU vs Duke game on FSN and the USA vs UT-Martin game on CSS. Both FSU an USA won. It is great to see the Jags on TV. It is a dream come true. It was awesome.
Go JAGS!

I agree it appears that you'll win this game, but there's still 3 minutes left.

Okay, South Alabama is coming along very nicely and may even win a couple of conference games in their first season, but "the real deal" after beating a 3-2 OVC team at home? Really?
No disrespect to the Jags intended, but c'mon is that really what it takes for someone to be "the real deal" even looking at their entire body of work, they've exceeded my expectations, but I don't see anything about them that would, at this point, make me say they are "the real deal".

I kind of tend to agree with this. On the one hand they are taking a very different approach to the transition than we did and I am curious to see if it works better than what we did.
But MTPiKapp is correct that all of these wins do not really indicate how they will do in a 12 game FBS schedule.
Remember that WKU beat MTSU right out of the gate in 2007. Getting fired up and winning one FBS game is a LOT different than the grind of playing 12 FBS opponents. Sunbelt fans tried to tell me that circa 2006 and I didn't believe them.
USA has taken great pains to build a winning tradition going into FBS. They came close to beating Kent State (whose only win is USA). What happens to the winning tradition when they lose 6-7 games like the Kent State game?
As a WKU fan I know all too well what can happen.

I won't dispute ANY of the above. As of right now, USA's got more unanswered questions than we've got answers. All we know for certain at this point in our 2 ( or 3, depending upon who's counting it seems) program is...
1. Probably, nearly everbody's expectations have been exceeded -
2. Our fans travel quite shockingly well thus far -
3. We can at least "hang" with the so-called "big boys" and not embarrass ourselves on the road in back to back games against D-IA's but what happens next year when we play a SBC schedule -
4. Our @ home fan support has been shocking (at least to moi) but will they continue to come out and support the Jags in a .500 or sub-.500 year, or even back to back .500 or sub-.500 seasons -
I, for one, am excited to be a small part of this, sitting behind the sidelines and patiently waiting to see these questions slowly become answered.
GO SBC!!!

I'd agree with all of these things and I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm excited for you guys and excited to make conference trips to Mobile. Probably my favorite Sun Belt city if we're not counting New Orleans for the home office and N.O.B.
