Thoughts on this class
This is an interesting situation. This is not an eye-catching class on paper. Only one "starred" is Hagins, with two. However, it intrigues me that we got all four in the early period, so evidently these four are who we wanted. If we had wanted others, I would assume we would have waited on some of them to the late period (not that there might not be more to come).

All are perimeter players. All are freshmen. Two have Arkansas connections. I am getting more confidence in Shields' staff to identify the type of talent that makes his system run (and evidently his system is evolving). So, if he likes the class, I like it.

RE: Thoughts on this class
I've been moaning for freshman for years so obviously I'm excited about this class. Tall guards with some length, a point guard and a spark plug guard who can score. The Coaches obviously like what they see in our 4 post players that will be here next year. If we have one leave or not make it I think we would look at a post player but I give the coaches and recruits a big thumbs up!!!!!

The staff seems very excited about the new commits. Like you said, I don't think you sign a kid early unless you really want him. None of the "experts" seem particularly excited about this year's class. However, our expert research team on this site seem pretty impressed. We'll soon get an idea who is right.

The change is very noticeable. Nothing succeeds like success!

RE: Thoughts on this class
We took a big step forward increasing the size of the post corps with this year's class. Now we increase the size of perimeter with next year's class. (Maybe I should have said height instead of size, because the girth of the team is decreasing everywhere.)

The fact that there is not a post player in this class makes me think we REALLY like where we are with big men right now.
