Which happens first?
The BE quits sponsoring FBS football or ECU actually gets an invite to the BE?

same time. The BE finally agrees to invite ECU and the world comes crashing down. They're keeping us out for the sake of the children. Think of the children.

I've reached the point of acceptance and I'm ok with it. Sometimes when you've done absolutely everything you can do, and still don't make it, you have to realize it's just not in the cards. Now I don't know whether cusa focuses more on being an eastern league or do we reload with W/E texas schools are available.

It's really become a joke to me. It's not like there's anything I could do about it other that buy tickets and show up.

I am not ok with it, but I have accepted that if we can't get in when the BE is looking for 6 members then it's hopeless.

RE: Which happens first?
I'm feeling for ECU because they are Big East ready (well, maybe not this year's team...but that's another issue). The problem isn't with ECU, it's with the Greenville, NC market. Cities like Orlando, Philly, Dallas and Houston are going to get looks first because of TV, it's that simple to explain. Navy/Air Force are national brands as well. And Boise trumps ECU because of the national ranking they've had the past 10-years and the precious AQ points they bring to the league.

That said, I still think ECU gets in the Big East at some point. Probably when Louisville or WVU leave, or when UConn or Rutgers leaves. I know patience has to be wearing thin in cities like Orlando and Greenville, but in time my gut is telling me both UCF and ECU will end up back in the same conference 3-5 years from now.

There are a lot of eastern schools that seem promising, FAU, FIU, Georgia St, ODU, App St, but the only school that really seems promising for the west division would be Louisiana Tech...

You reach that point and the BE won't be a relevant football conference so who cares.

Bonds, I feel your frustration but will it cause you to quit supporting the pirates? Dude, as worked up as you get over this team, I don't see you stopping your support. They mean that much to you. Same for me, if we're not in the BE, we're gonna keep playing football, I'm gonna still buy tickets, show up, be loud, and raise my kid that way to do the same.

I don't like it, but there's nothing I can do. I'm worrying about the things I can control.

No but I fear you take away the hope of advancing and there will be a good number who do give up, especially as the gap between AQ and non-AQ continues to grow. If we can't continue to schedule the regional AQ games, or we cease to even be competitive in them the stands will start to get empty. I can see the writing on the wall and it's not pretty.
