I think we can all lol to this. Wow I had no clue North Texas brought the hour and a half away DFW market that is full of TCU, UT, DB, and SMU fans.

Why do you keep mentioning Troy and why is it OK for everyone else except Troy to be in a Market an hour away lol? Especially when we have a campus in Montgomery and signs everywhere.

Wasn't aware that I lived an hour and a half from Denton. In fact, I'm fairly certain, since I've made the drive before, that it's half an hour from downtown Fort Worth driving fast and half an hour from Downtown Dallas driving slow. But what the hell do I know, I don't live in Alabama.

Right now the UNT staff knows they are bad and they are working desperately to improve, I respect that. They aren't trying to anoint success by acting like their market is going to save them.

The Sun Belt has the worst TV deal of any football conference and we are all in this together and need to correct this by supporting our teams and schools. Like I wish Troy would realize how spoiled we are having one of the best baseball programs and coach in the country working underpaid. We are top 40 nationally in attendance and could easily be top 30 if 500 more students would come sit in the game for at least three innings. Every school in this conference has potential so lets just stop bickering at each other and make each other better through competition.

Well, I don't know if you were interested in the sun belt for longer than you've been a member on this board, but it has been a while since UNT made noise on the gridiron, but it hasn't been that long.

As for basketball, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a high school kid that doesn't know where to go in the area for consistently good college ball.

We don't expect our market to save us. Not sure what we need saving from tho. It isn't difficult for North Texas to draw from the market, but it's a hell of a lot easier for SMU and TCU to draw from it since they are in the middle of the largest cities in the region.

If we Keep Boise/AFA/UCF/UH/SMU which is possible then we stay at current 22....If we only lose UCF then we add FIU, We lose all 3 of UCf/UH/SMU then we add FIU/ UNT and 1 more....Remember were will Bosie/UH/SMU park their Other sports.....What if Chris Peterson leaves, then u can't get a great coach to replace him, not everyone will be beating down the door to coach Boise remember that......U really think UH/SMU wanna put the other sports in MVC really....The Real super conference C-USA is on its way.....Get on board, or get run over by this Fright train coming down the Tracks.....Its Over BE.....Your City, Your Team, C-USA.....The World Is Ours Memphis....

Stability matters.

In the infamous last days of La.Tech in the WAC, Commissioner Waters reportedly told Tech's president he was making a mistake because the WAC would collapse and Tech's president reportedly scoffed and said the Sun Belt won't last ten years.

The Belt made it ten years and I expect that before December the WAC will be out of the business of football.

I don't know what will happen with CUSA long-term but they are a league that has had a hard-time figuring out who they are. Their last expansion showed that, even the fight over expanding demonstrated it.

If sensible people ran college athletics, there would be no CUSA or Sun Belt, the members of the two leagues would reform geographically but sensible people are not in charge.

What is sad out of all this is that some schools in the Sun Belt will go to CUSA. They will quickly learn they are out-manned financially and will divert more resources to athletics to keep pace. Yet if they had made that same committment to athletics while here they could have had a dominant program gathering many bowl appearances and NCAA appearances and with a touch of luck could have posted that 12-0 record that could have made them BCS busters but they did not.

This is different my man....It would be MWC league and C-USA league under one umberlla.....Champ vs Champ......Two Leagues within One Conference.....still 4 ooc games.....Their OWN Network with plenty of Inventory....Wac din't have that.....Title game still on ESPN....Could be played at Jerry's World with HYpe and Who knows Mayeb FEDEX Sponsership on it....This and Our Digital Network are where this is headed towards and we are the First to get there....Add the Cotton bowl as the 5th BCS Bowl, We get a Auto Spot in it.....Only Confernce in 5 Time zones two leagues under One Conference, Potential is Huge and could be Huge for Networks during future tv talks.....U should be Rooting for this.....We are Breaking into the Big Boy Club slowly but surely....the World Is Ours Memphis....One City, One Team, One Name, Memphis......

I'm not certain of many things when it comes to conference realignment, but here are two things I am certain of:

1) tigerscane is a dufus, but decent entertainment value

2) The CUSA/MWC merger for a BCS bid is little more than pipedream. It's not gonna happen.
