After browsing back through topics today, I think I owe the FANS of West Virginia an apology for snide comments that I made in response to the new troll poster, jtwvu. The more this guy posts, the more I believe he is in no way a representative of your university. The coward is merely hiding behind another school to post childish comments at just about everyone in the Big East.

As an athletic program, I could not be more excited to play West Virginia and all the conference foes who will be a step up from the Tulanes and East Carolinas of the world. Our program deserves the fine competition that I know the Big East will provide. I hope the old guard will welcome our program and accept my apologies for misdirecting my attacks. I think the best decision would be to ignore the blathering babble of JT anyway, which is what I will be doing from this point forward.

i think that was xtremely bold and brave of u to make the comments that u have just made....

whether u believe it or not i am a 1987 graduate of WVU, BS Civil Engineering, MBA 1995 Marshall Univ.....

with such an apology i shall make one of my own......i take back all the things i said about U of L , cinci, and rutgers......

they are great institutions.....and i am glad they are part of the big east.....i was just having some fun with everyone....

i wanted to see how far fans would go for their respective institutions....

i have nothing but respect for the cardinals and they are a class act.....as is cinci and rutgers....to brista and cat's claw i apologize......

it was all in fun....if i hurt anyones feelings again i apologize......for my actions i am placing myself on a 2 day suspension of posting anything on this board.

I too apologize if anything I said seems derogatory towards WVU as a whole. On the other hand JT, you have to understand us Rutgers fans are true diehards thats something anyone can respect because we never give up on our school. The diehard in me will defend RU to the grave.

Family truce and big group hug all around. I'm glad we have die hard fans all around. Represent your school...hype it to the hilt, but not at the expense of attacking your brother members. Together we stand, divided we fall.

Not a love fest, trust me. I will be rooting hard for the Cards and hoping that the rest of the Big East beats up on one another. The only thing I hope for is that A) we all beat the OOC opponents and B) one other team stays in the Top 15 to prop up the league image. Other than that, the rest of the league can figure out a way to go 7-5 all around. :laugh:

The only thing I was opining was the fact that in hindsight this JT idiot was likely not a WVU grad. Even if he was, one dumb fan is no reason to lash out with all the stereotypes of the school and its fans. I am too aware of how different people view UofL (which, ironically, can be as a gangsta inner-city school = UK fans, or a hillbilly back-of-the-woods trailer park = most of the rest of the country).
