LSU beats 3 ranked opponents and moves up to #1. Clemson beats 3 ranked opponents and they move up to #8. Let's look at some of the teams in front of them in both polls.

I don't see how Boise State, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin or Stanford are in front of Clemson. At least Wisconsin beat Nebraska. The Georgia team BSU beat will be unranked the rest of the year and Okie State and Stanford haven't played a decent team yet. I look for Clemson to jump up in the polls next week if they beat Maryland just because they are under rated this week.

Herein lies the problem with college football. Once a team is rated a certain postion, barring a loss, they'll remain at that spot. I was actually mildly surprised that LSU vaulted OU, but then again they did play an extreme difficult schedule. Sorry but there is no way that Stanford is the 4th best team. In all honesty Oklahoma State and Clemson should both be ranked ahead of Boise State and Stanford based on their play thus far.

Agreed. At the very least the Coaches Poll should wait until this week. AP doesn't really matter since it's not part of the BCS equation.

I'm really impressed w/ Clemson and not so much w/ Stanford. I tend to think Stanford is going to be 10-2 come the end of the season. Clemson seems to be a Top 5 in the land thus far. I think Boise is legit though. Yes they play no one, but that's really not their fault. Hopefully the Big XII adds them and this mess about them being overrated or not ceases.

I don't think so. If anything at this point IMO we are overrated as we have yet to put together a complete game on all three sides of the ball.

I think Clemson is rated about right. Usually I think they're overrated and then can't live up to expectations but this year they've really put together some solid efforts in beating those ranked opponents. What do I know, though?
