Do you really think Missouri leaving would be anything more than a disappointment? As long as OU & UT stay in the league, it's safe. Missouri's the only school that would want out. Though it's the flagship university of a pretty big state, its performance hasn't been anything to write home about over the years.

My hope is that Louisville will be invited and that Missouri stays in. Not because I'm a huge Mizzou fan, but simply because I like the geographic continuity of a state bordering Kentucky connecting us by land to the rest of the conference we're in.

But if Missouri leaves, are Texas and Oklahoma going to revisit their conference affiliation, especially now that the Pac12 has said No?

I hope they would still stick around but the hope Mizzou sticks around thing is more of a "don't leave it to chance" thing rather than a concern over a likely death blow.

Big East - Just grab a life preserver and hang on, cause there will be no BEFootball conference when all is said and done.

Non-Aq's:
I'd adjust 1... hope for b12 inclusion. Just wave to the shipwreck that is the Titani... Er, Big East

I'd add # 3 - C-USA East picks up the BE teams and gets their AQ status. The BCS has the MWC picks up the C-USA West minus Houston and/or SMU and they get the BCS to give them an auto-AQ.. The team(s) that the MWC doesn't tack on goes to the b-12

The big east has the bid and can offer the best of CUSA a spot in an AQ league as well as the non-fb Navy addition and maybe AFA. It will survive but it will be radically different. So the league of Pitt, WVU, Rutgers, Syracuse, and UConn would be "gone" but the Big East would survive.

Big 12- Expansion and that Mizzou sticks around to not jeopardize things. As long as there is expansion to 12 there really aren't the dire scenarios you have seen before.

Big East: Hope that the league retains AQ or that your school is invited elsewhere.

Non-AQs:
1- Hope for inclusion in the B12 and BE rebuilding efforts. Odds of inclusion go up if the Big East loses 2-3 to the Big 12.
2- Hope the football only merger between CUSA and MWC gets AQ and happens. If not already included in those leagues, hope for inclusion.

Very simple this time. Much more simple than a couple weeks ago.

Yes but I disagree with you on Missouri. They may pine for the Big Ten but they will accept the SEC if offered.

Why would you not accept an invitaion the best CFB in the land? It is stable, well paid, and Missouri does not have anything holding them back.

They do not have K-State as Kansas does, Tech/Baylor/Texas legislature as Texas does, Oklahoma State to Oklahoma, etc.....

Will they or have they ever been invited is another argument but it there is an offer they have more reasons to go than to stay.

Not neccessarily. Whether it is fair or not you have academically minded people in charge at these schools and there have been many (the entire ACC target list, UT) who have refused on that and concerns about compliance. Mizzou I could see go either way and remember the comments that landed MU in hot water about the Big 10 were about academics.

Frankly as long as the other 8 are willing to cede tier 1 and 2 to the conference we'll see Mizzou likely stick around. They'll make more tv money here when tier 1 is redone in a few years and face better odds on the field here than in the SEC. They also have everyone they care about playing (except Illinois and NU) in the Big 12.

So increased BCS access is the same to you?

Exactly. If such a deal already existed, CUSA Champion UCF would've already twice played for a BCS bowl berth. Compare that to the zero times they've threatened to bust it as an at-large under the current arrangement. Even if the bowl money turns out to be chump change per team, the mere existence of a path to a BCS game would fatten the coffers via the increased ticket sales, TV deals, and donations that would come with a legit opportunity to play in a big boy bowl game each year.

That said, I'd imagine there would be some merit-based split of the money, with the BCS participant and its conference getting the larger share each season.
