My wife even gets in on the fun. She graduated from a school that just started football, and reminds every week that she gets memos in the mail about their homecoming that their homecoming weekend doesn't have poetry, apple butter or whatever in the hell ETSU is doing.
Oh, and the day starts with soccer at 11 A.M., then a tailgate with barbecue and all the good stuff, then football.

People at work ask me all the time what ETSU is doing for Homecoming. When I tell them they laugh. They think I am joking but I have to explain I am not joking. You could not make stuff like that up. Nobody would believe it if you did.

I showed her the schedule of events. By the way, her alma mater is WAY north of the Mason Dixon.
