I didn't realize how much history the New Big East has with the Sun Bowl. West Virginia, Louisville, Pitt and Cincinnati have all been to the Sun Bowl. That's pretty cool! :)

A correction on the UConn results--all those championships were in the Yankee Conference, not the A-10.

A correction on Rutgers our first and only conference affiliation was the Big East in 1991. So I'm not sure where those conference championships came from. If you'd like to share your source with me I'd appreciate it because I may very well stand corrected.

Rutgers was actually a member of the Middle Atlantic Conference until 1962, an unusual conference that included a "University Division" (Division I and II schools), and a "College Division" which would now be known as Division III.

The University Division included Rutgers, Temple, Delaware, Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell, Muhlenberg, and Gettysburg. The College Division included Drexel, Johns Hopkins, Widener, West Chester, and a large number of other smaller schools.
