What kind of local coverage does your school's sports teams get?
As a UofL fan, I was wondering what was happening with our radio coverage 03-confused . I haven't listen to the sports show on WHAS much since BB season ended and haven't read anything in the paper. For those at other schools, UofL lost it's contract with our city's 50,000 watt clear channel radio station to UofK 03-puke in the year that we went 11-1 and #6 rating in football, 33-4 and #3 rating in basketball and moved to the Big East....in our own city mind you. What's wrong with this picture? Can we say politics and money?
Our newspaper coverage has improved tremendously and TV coverage is fair.

Thanks,
one of your responses to another post lead me to start this thread. We should be able to pick your games up in Louisville.

I used to be able to pick up WHAS pretty good and would listen to Louisville games but something changed. I can still hear it, but just barely. I have listened to WLW while traveling in Louisville.

I was even able to hear WLW news on vacation in Myrtle Beach this year. WLW is a very powerful station.
