Here Is The Entire Problem For MAC Schools
1. We are basically "organ donors" for bigger schools. When a MAC coach shows success, bam, he gets snatched up, like the Yankees and Red Sox with small-ball teams like Detroit and Milwaukee. Gotta stop being minor league training ground for bigger conferences. Boise did it, we can too.
2. Board of Trustees vs. Regent System. As long as the Trustee system is in place, we, and most other MAC schools will continue to be "OWNED" by schools like scUM, msUEEEEEEEE, and Wayne's World State University. You will NOT get fairly appropriated state monies, when people from these universities are on your Board of Trustees. Even if the governor were a CMU grad, these three schools would politically control him!
3. What to do. Follow the Boise model, and get rid of the Board of Trustees (it doesn't matter that "some" of the people on the Board are CMU people ---- they're still politically OWNED buy those who appoint them --- and for the right promotion/price, they can be had).
4. So, while most of the press "choose to be willfully ignorant" about these issues, we can all sit back and enjoy our mediocrity.
5. A Wisconsin State Journal writer, quoted Dave Doeren (NIU's coach, former defensive coordinator at UW-Madison) saying to Bret Bielema (UW's coach) "Let's not do this again" (play one another). This is what Doeren said BEFORE the game. Now, Anus Enos, is describing our team as "fragile" BEFORE the msuEEEEEEE game. B1G assistants. Gotta love 'em. Oh, and you can put money on the fact that Heeke, is OWNED as well. And where is "Curious George" (it's only racist if you want it to be) Ross during this fire fight? That's right, hiding in his office (which is also OWNED!).

RE: Here Is The Entire Problem For MAC Schools
Now, go to youtube, and type in: "George Carlin - The American Dream"
Then, when his presentation gets to "...the red, white, and blue ****"
Just replace those colors with maize & blue, green & white, or, green & gold. The entire story and future is there, if you choose to be "willfully ignorant," which aptly describes most of us.
