You have remember, living in Hattyburger is not exactly...what's that word....Exciting. Other then going to Walmart, this is the only entertainment in town.

That is very funny Texan...are you the pot calling the kettle black?....yep?....
Show me where I have acted like you (unless responding in kind to your taunts).
LOL...you answered your own question...didn't you?.....
No one on this board acts like you OG. To tell the truth though, OG eagle is very tamed compared to his inbread first cousin Eagle in Yune. I must say that the most ridiculous fans are from Southern Miss. Not all of them are ridiculous, but the most ridiculous fans that I have seen is Eagle in Yune.

BTW, OG where is your cousin Yune? :)

I know he is not even close to Yunes level. I actually get a kick out of OG. Thats why I try to banter with him. He is not nearly as bad as some other USM fans.

I will 2nd what all of you have said O.G. Eagle is NO yune by far. LoL.. If i was to compare O.G Eagle to anyone it would be L-Yes they both love their respected schools and no matter what the facts say they will debate you. Yune on the other hand would make up facts. I still miss reading his post though. As for what the Rutgers fan said about Memphis and Louisville having long standing rivalies so does Southern Miss and Louisville. That was a very good rivarly football game and while i dont know if we will ever get into the Big East I sure hope So.Miss and Louisville find a way to renew that series.

I don't understand why C-USA abandoned that rivalry for the last two years we were in the league. You'd think if you want a must-see TV game, Louisville-USM would be on the schedule every season. That and not playing UAB... doesn't make sense. Then again, we're talking about Banowsky's Bozos.

I look at the recent conference changes like a nasty divorce. You hate each other with every breath during the proceedings but after the dust settles and the hard feelings subside everyone realizes that we had some good times together.
I have never made it a secret that I would love to see Memphis join the Big East and I feel the same about USM. I do know that Tom Jurich and Richard Giannini are good friends. I also know that Tom owes Richard a favor for hiring his best friend, Larry Eustachy. I would look for Tom to work behind the scenes to get USM an invite when the Big East splits.

Interesting post Jim. I think the inclusion of Memphis and USM would strike a blow against the $EC; it would imo most likely give a mortal wound to Ole Miss and Miss State. Both Memphis and USM compete head to head against those schools for recruits, and a level playing field would be great for our schools. Actually, both of us are not doing that bad recruiting against those two now.

I have stated before on the Memphis board an invite of Memphis to the BE gets the BE in the backyard of the SEC. In turn many schools in the SEC would start to get a bit nervous.

O.G., I'm glad you frequent this board. It's good to have rivals still around. Hopefully in the future you will be able to frequent Cardinal Stadium for your bi-annual butt whoopin there. :)

LOL!...Speaking of butt-whippings....do you remember the 65-6 slaughtering of the Cards shortly after the infamous statement by Howard Smellyburger in which he said..."We are on a course with the National Campionship....the only variable is time?"......But what you probably didn't know...or care for that matter...is that Florida State beat us 61 - 10 the very next week!.......

One of the things I wished I did was take in a game at USM. I used to live in Niceville, FL and it was only about 3 hours away. I did get to FSU though. Nice little trip especially if you spend an extra day at the Casino in Biloxi or playing golf.
