In 2004 before we added VT, BC, and the U ... the ACC was the #1 conference in Sagarin rankings. We killed everybody in the bowls. Even a soon-to-be Chan Gailey hampered Georgia Tech team went to Seattle and drilled BCS Top 10 Stanford. Even Chuckles at NC State was hiding behind Phillip Rivers and looking like a good coach.

And so as we go to expand again ... the ACC has its best weekend out of conference since they swept the SEC in rivalry games near that aforementioned time. Miami big over ranked Ohio State. Florida State close on #1 Oklahoma despite losing their QB. Maryland a last minute pick from potential victory on ranked West Virginia. Kansas got a Biblical sized smack down from Georgia Tech. Clemson ends the longest winning streak in the nation downing the ranked defending National Champs big.

Now lets just hope we don't start sucking in the similar timely fashion as we did last time.

Man, I remember 2003 like it was yesterday. The ACC was supposed to "rival" the SEC as the top conference in the south.

Keep up the good work ACC and whoop some ass OOC.
