Question:

4. Which team that lost a star quarterback will have the easiest time finding a replacement?

Answer:

The 11-1 campaign Stefan LeFors engineered at Louisville last season won't soon be forgotten. But as good as LeFors was in his senior year, sophomore Brian Brohm might produce bigger numbers. He might have to.

The Cardinals will be playing their first season in the Big East Conference. They have a realistic shot at winning it and an automatic Bowl Championship Series bid. But Louisville will be facing more productive offenses week-to-week than it did in Conference USA, and the defense has holes to fill.

The offense, despite losing LeFors and rushing leader Eric Shelton, should be up to the challenge with Brohm at the controls. He took plenty of snaps last season while backing up LeFors. Notable talents around him include running back Michael Bush and tackle Travis Leffew, a candidate for national honors.
