ACC already OK'd 'Cuse and Pitt.
Here is the article. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/s...50448806/1

"The presidents of the Atlantic Coast Conference voted Saturday morning to accept Syracuse and Pittsburgh to the league, according to an official in the ACC. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the league has not announced the move.

The move of Pittsburgh and Syracuse to the ACC will have big effect on the changing of the conference landscape in college athletics.
The ACC has scheduled a news media teleconference Sunday at 9:30 a.m., ET ostensibly to discuss the expansion, but no details were given."

Yeah it would be like purgatory. I have a feeling however, that we will be allowed to join the ACC next year. We will probably have to pay up a little more to the Big East to do so though.

So do ya'll think it will just be 14 or will the ACC go to 16? I would prefer 14.

Someone who is usually "in the know" on the Pitt premium board said that if Pitt pays a $7 million buyout fee, they can leave the BE one year after they pay the fee. So 2012 in BE, 2013 in ACC?

Interesting, hopefully we can get out sooner. I'd be willing to pay more than that, to play next season.

Probably stop at 14 for a year or two, just to see how it works. If 14 works fine then go to 16. If 14 flounders, then they won't make it worse by going to 16.

If there is no BE by say the end of Oct. I would expect everyone goes in next year. WV to SEC, Syracuse, Pitt, Rutgers, and UConn to ACC, everyone else to the big10 or merging with the big12. Who gets the money?

If everyone has a home the FB schools can exercise their prerogative to leave in mass and then just go their separate ways.
