I completely understand why. But is it a little unfair considering all of the effort Pitt put into keeping this conference going? We don't know what went on behind the scenes within the BE community. We may never truly know, but there had to be an event that put Pitt over the top. Was it WVU flirting with the SEC, Nova being pushed as the 10th FB playing school? Something else? Combination of a number of issues? I don't know, but I think the BE left Pitt, so Pitt had to start taking care of itself.

I have no problem with Pitt acting the way they did. The obligation is to the university itself, not a conference...
