University of Louisville senior guard Taquan Dean has been named as one of the top 50 preseason candidates for the John R. Wooden Award All-America team. Dean is one of nine BIG EAST Conference players cited on the list, more than any other league.

I like the sound of that...more than any other conference 04-cheers. Can anybody help name the other candidates from the BEast

Not sure how do you leave off Eric Hicks of UC. He is representing the US in Turkey now as one of 12 members who made the US team? Either way watch out for the Beast of the East this year. James White former McDonalds All-American will be in the top fifty by the end of the year.

Hicks: Agreed....he's a fricken MONSTER and will have a HUGE Sr. year................

White: Believe it when I see it. He has slowly become our next Melvin Levitt......the guy with all the talant in the world that we kept saying....."man, this guy is going to be awesome NEXT year".......

Either way, Go Cats!!!!

If Rajon Rondo is on the preseason list, Eric Hicks deserves to be without a doubt. Just goes to show that ALL pre-season, post-season, and mid-season Top something teams are more about selling ad space than really picking all the best players. Hicks doesn't have the hype, so he doesn't get the honor.

James White??? 03-confused Why not just put Jihad Muhammad on there, too?
