To UCF fans
You got 51,000+ students & can't sell out your stadium. Doesn't make sense with y'all always saying LOOK AT US!!! I read tonite my 1st Rival UCF board where you tried to degrade us. Someone said we couldn't grow like you cause our Alum die as quick as we get a new one, you can't even get your own residents to come. You got Disney & the media machine (only reason you are reverent) behind you but you can't sell out your stadium. The funny thing I saw was where you said we didn't sell out VT, true we missed it by 400. Be real. My Q is if you are so much a Goliath, why can't you have a sell out. Please don't take this as smack talk. I will admit you got a gold mind but your fans that go on message board are what makes you look like Fools Gold and it will never be worth the money.

Last I checked we sold out our stadium just last week? FIU's stadium will be sold out because of us. I'm not sure where you are getting your information from.

Another ECU whack job. But it's nice to know we have a "gold mind".

And, BTW, we sold out our game last week vs our BCS AQ opponent while you did not. And our opponent was one that didn't bring 5,000+ fans with them to our stadium like yours did.

First of all... we sold out our last game at over 100% capacity.

Second of all... who are you?

That happens quite a bit over there (and no, I'm not a part of it). If you don't like it, don't go to that site.

Quote:You got Disney & the media machine (only reason you are reverent) behind you but you can't sell out your stadium.

It's not accurate to say that the Disney company is behind us, but people like Al Weiss (president of the Walt Disney World Resort and a UCF graduate) are. As for the media, if we had that much influence over them we'd have been in the preseason top 25 in the major polls.

We had consistent sellouts during Bright House stadium's inaugural season. The next two seasons after that, the team didn't have as much success, so some of the momentum we had built up in 2007 slowed a bit, and I think the attendance was an indicator of that. We made sort of a quiet entrance into the top 25 late in the 2010 season, which I think helps explain why the crowds weren't that great. After the conference championship along with the wins over Georgia and Boston College, though, I don't think attendance is going to suffer much this season unless we have an unexpected collapse. I look forward to our next home game . . . should be a great atmosphere.

Words cannot express how 2008's last ranked offense set us back as far as fan support. Honestly, all we could hope for is the defense to hold so smokin' Joe Burnett could touch the ball, he was the only source of any excitement. Losing 15-0 to UAB on home turf in one of the sloppiest games I've ever witnessed, well, we are only beginning to recover.

It did -that- much damage.

As pathetic as it sounds, there's a lot of truth to this. After that season, I feel that O'Leary lost almost all support he had. He didn't earn it all back until we beat Georgia last year. Again, it shouldn't be like that, but young programs tend to have lots of fair weather fans..... single seasons matter.

If Nick Saban lost to UAB, Alabama fans would want him fired.

Not LSU fans though...they kept him after we stomped him.

I'm proud to not be a fair weather fan. I was at every UCF home game and 1 road game during our 0-11 season. I've been going to UCF home games and a handful of road games on a regular basis since 1996. I was UKnighting with other fans before that became a popular term. LOL

Why because I wondered with 51K plus students they can't sell out their stadium regularly. IDIOT!!!
