Zak Galambos, Part 2.
2023-24 Best Defenseman
Brian Kramer, Sr., D, AIC (Wexford, Pa.)
AIC’s Brian Kramer skates into the Atlantic Hockey Championship tied for seventh in scoring among AHA defensemen with 21 points (10g-11a) despite missing five games this season due to injury. The Wexford, Pa., native’s scoring performance in conference play (7g-8a/15pts) also ranked in the top-10 among defenders. He leads the Yellow Jackets in game-winning goals with three and is one of just two defensemen among the top-10 in that category in Atlantic Hockey. Kramer is the third AIC blueliner to earn Defenseman of the Year honors in the last four seasons, joining Brennan Kapcheck (2020-21) and Zak Galambos (2021-22).
Appears to be a Galambos "light" (smaller D and not as offensive). Lets hope he is better defensively.
Their offensive numbers seem pretty comparable to me.
Kramer
35 games, 10 G, 12 A, 22 P
Galambos
38 games, 9 G, 12 A, 21 P

Kramer

Galambos

I was comparing their Jr. seasons/3rd college yr @ AIC:
Kramer, 35-6-17-23
Galambos, 36-5-24-29
Also looked @ Jrs.
Kramer/BCHL, 41-5-23-28 (#4 def., behind 69 pts, 45 pts and 36 pts)
Galambos/USHL, 34-3-16-19 (#2 def., behind 27 pts.)
5'11" vs 6'2". Decent offensive numbers in college and juniors, but not what I would consider "offensive".

In the Kalamazoo Gazette this morning - Ferris State goalie Logan Stein is transferring to U of M for his 5th year just after U of M 5th year goalie Noah West transferred to Ferris. Michigan goalie Jake Barczewski (from Canisius) is out of eligibility.

Their starter is likely to be Cameron Korpi, who de-committed from Western.

I'm not familiar with Cole Burtch (thus answering my question) but why would anyone want to leave WMU to play at Ferris? They are really, really bad.
One team playing for the national tournament and national aspirations. The other would probably lose to Big Rapids HS.

Probably for playing time. Also, Ferris may have been the only team offering any $. He's from Markham, ON, but I assume he established MI in state Residence while @ WMU, so he would also only have to pay in state tuition. Grand Rapids is also only 6 hrs. from his home town, probably next next closet (assuming BG, MI and MSU wasn't interested).

We picked up a goalie from Minnesota
Minn G Owen Bartoszkiewicz (Oklahoma NAHL) to WMU, 3 years of eligibility left.
He played in 6 games in 22-23 and appears went back to juniors last year?

So is this a foreshadow that Rowe is gone? Cause I don’t know why a goalie would portal here knowing you’re not gonna play one minute as a back up.

Wouldn't we have seen Cam Rowe sign a pro deal by now if he was leaving?

I think Cam isn't going anywhere and is hoping to improve his stock with a "Richter Award" type season next year.
After 3 seasons in jrs., Owen Bartoszkewicz numbers are not that great, 4th best on his NAHL team. I do not see any colleges offering $$ and targeting him as a starter. He is a MI resident, so his tuition will be more affordable. His focus will be 2025-26.
