PITTSBURGH–College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will kick off the 2005 college football season in Pittsburgh on Sept. 3.

College football’s favorite road show will broadcast from the North Shore beginning at 10:30 a.m. in anticipation of Pitt’s showdown with Notre Dame at Heinz Field that night.

College GameDay features hosts Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso. Additionally, Desmond Howard joins the crew this year as a weekly contributor and analyst. The show runs every Saturday during the season from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The show last visited Pittsburgh in 2003, when the Panthers defeated Virginia Tech, 31-28.

Details for fans planning on attending this year’s College GameDay broadcast will be forthcoming.

Pitt and Notre Dame will kick off at 8 p.m. for a national ABC telecast. The game ranks as the Panthers’ most anticipated season opener in years and marks the collegiate head coaching debut of Dave Wannstedt.

Pitt football remains one of the best sports buys in the region. Season-ticket prices for the majority of seats range from $85 to $144. Seats in the amenity-filled club section are $240 (with commensurate Panther Club contribution). For more ticket information, call (800) 643-PITT.

Great for PITT and the Big East ! They really capture the flavor of college football. What a great chance to showcase the Panther program. Good Luck!

Congrats to Pittsburgh. I have noticed the moves & recruits of Wannstedt and they are eye opening. That was a great great hire for both the Panthers and the Big East.

I think he is 71 years old to be exact now. Listening to his most recent obnoxious comments, he certainly hasn't gained any humility with age.

We expect to sell out all 48,500 season tickets + 16,500 for the students. That is 55K right there. The rest are visiting team tix and single game tix available only to Team Pittsburgh Members. We should have close to 70K in the stadium for ND. They are selling standing room only tix for it. Again only Team Pittsburgh Members can purchase.

Change your sig pic...Don't come to OUR board disrespecting a Louisville ICON. How would it make you feel if I put a picture on my posts making fun of Larry Finch. I understand he has a medical condition, am I correct?
