CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Cincinnati football team has received the Conference USA Sports Academic Award for having the highest accumulated grade point average among all league football teams during the 2004-05 school year.

The Bearcats had a collective GPA of 2.60. Football was the only UC program to receive the C-USA honor for this past year.

Saint Louis University earned the Institutional Academic Excellence Award, recognizing the C-USA member with the highest GPA for its student-athletes during the school year, for the 10th consecutive year.

Another Academic Award for the CATS! This plus the 86% grad rate for football. Five bowls in seven years. Great job former Coach Minter and now Dantonio have done building this program in a proud way! UC also led CUSA for the most overall athletes in the Honor Roll conference listing. Hope this with our new facilities shows the Big East and the nation our commitment level.

So much for Cincinnati and Louisville leaving helping C-USA's academics! :D
