They'd rather stay up there and spend the afternoon combing the roadsides for returnable bottles, and spearing frogs for supper.

Or is it pheasant season?

Pheasant season/duck season. Pheasant season/duck season. (Oh, sorry. Got into the old Disney cartoon mode there for a minute.)
Oh come on! They will come in force for the same reason that they come every other year........to check out "those newfangled modern conveniences".

RE: CMU Attendance Predictions
Did they make students buy tickets for Saturday? (or for all games now? I've been out for a while) I just went to the ticket office and there were a TON of students in there buying student section tickets for $15??? I was confused. Perhaps just buying tickets for non-WMU student friends?

On a positive attendence note, I usually hang out in the corner end zone and the lowest row I could get was 21. Those sections are usually super empty.

Student guest tickets are $15. Students still get in free

Make that 2 MSU students coming to the game! If I can't find an ID to get into the game you think it will be sold out on game day?

Doubt it.

Ticket lines might be long though (around game time), so your best bet might be to hit the ticket office on your way up to the student lots

We just decided to buy endzone tickets and sit where ever we want in the stadium until we get moved. Should be a good time! I'm excited.

RE: CMU Attendance Predictions
They've sold 5,000 tickets since Monday.

http://www.mlive.com/broncos/index.ssf/2...ate_1.html

As of 2 p.m. Friday, about 14,000 tickets had been sold for Western Michigan University's football game against Central Michigan, which kicks off at noon Saturday.

Waldo Stadium seats 30,200, but 7,200 of those are reserved for the WMU student side, which is expected to be full.

Don Beyer, WMU's director of ticket operations, said Friday's ticket sales continue to be swift and he expects a large walk-up crowd Saturday.

So that's a crowd of 21,200 already with the rest of Friday (another 1,500?) and Saturday's walk up (3,000?). Prediction: 25,718.

Bought my tickets on my lunch break. Only Section A remained on the Press Box side. The Student side is blocked out. How many they sell for general admission in the ends will likely determine whether it's 21k or 28k.

ESPN has official attendance at 26,674. Seemed like there was more than that there. So nice to see Waldo packed a rockin! My favorite was the students chanting "we want 50" when we got the ball back late in the forth!

Yeah, if you force all the people on the hill to sit in the bleachers...there aren't too many empty seats left. Great crowd though. Hope they come back for homecoming

RE: CMU Attendance Predictions
I knew it was going to be a big crowd when the line of cars on Oliver exended all the way to Stadium. Onlymsome seats in the endzones were open. And i thought we stuck around longer than normal as well. Steady stream of CMU fans leaving in the 3rd Q. Good showing from our fans for an important game. No complaints from me.
