Not all UCF fans. Central Florida has a really good football team. I can't wait until our match with Central Florida. That'll be a good game.

I'd agree with that, I've seen some reasonable UCF fans throughout my tenure on here, and most of the time, they've been pretty cool. But you know the old saying, the ones that yell the loudest tend to be the dumbest.

I completely agree, I'd love to renew the series. It'd be great for longtime UCF fans like myself that have been going to games since the 80s. We definitely had some fantastic games over the years...BRING BACK THE NOISE PENALTY!!! :)

Those UCF vs. Troy games date all the way back to the DII playoffs and I-AA days and when UCF first got to I-A and Troy was still in I-AA. The crowds were huge - in the 30,000s and even 40,000s. They probably drew the most Troy fans I have ever seen at an away game, even by today's standards. Thousands of Trojans were there, thanks in part to the fact that many Troy alumni are/were from central and north Florida.

One game was delayed for hours due to lightning and torrential rain. I remember the Sound of the South playing the old "Dixie" fight song under the Tangerine Bowl stadium. Awesome.

Then there was the crowd noise penalty game. All the games were tight.

They may have used "UL" for convenience on the internet but Louisville is the team associated with those initials. I don't mind using it, I'm just saying that it's a ready associated with Louisville. The "Cajuns" is much more well known to most that follow football...a bit obscure like most of the Sun Belt but still relatively well known.

I believe they actually used Lou, which is cool...I'll take that over the dreaded ULL bullsh*t. Plus they called by the name we requested, "Louisiana"...not "the University of"...just Louisiana... nothing illegal, nothing out of the ordinary...

Man, its a long story which we wont bore others with.. With respect to academia we officially are "the University of Louisiana @ Lafayette." In the athletic world we request to be known as UL, Louisiana or Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns. Nothing illegal about any of those monikers as long as "The University of" does not proceed it. Its become a hotbed of discussion.. Lots of fun!! Best of luck to your guys...I do hope FIU "eeks" out the win, though!!!
