Heard that Big 12 call was somewhat heated. Baylor isn't only school peeved at A&M. Question raised about objections coming at last minute.

Big 12 source also told me there will be another conference call, but that could be dependent on the time-line with OU's evaluation.

One source within the Big 12 told me, "multiple schools are reserving their right to pursue litigation" on any possible move of A&M to SEC.

I heard SMU's AD and president interrupted it claiming they could save the conference with their new look football program.

so if OU and OSU still leave while A&M is held hostage are they gonna sue OU and OSU instead and release A&M?

RE: What happened on the Big 12 conference call...
Was listening to the Finebaum show on Sirius and he had the A&M guy on (Luicci? Don't know how it's spelled). Luicci seemed to think that the call had a different tone, being the other schools wanted to know WTF Baylor was doing. He said that the other schools were actually a little irritated because Baylor's actions have delayed things and kept the Big XII (and members) from being able to make their next move.

Who to believe? Good times.

Well it looks like everyone but Baylor has a BCS landing pad. If K state was left out or any of the others, don't think for a minute they wouldn't do everything possible to stop it from going down.

So, is this to send a message to OU and OSU that if they leave, they're getting sued, too?

ISU has made no threat to sue anybody. They just haven't waived any rights, which it sounds like is also the case with multiple (if not all) of the other conference teams. Baylor is the only one who has threatened lawsuit so far.

As if they needed help, I think Baylor just made themselves even MORE unattractive to other conferences. And here I was championing them to the Big East over Iowa State...now....screw 'em. They're just delaying the inevitable and you can't force someone to be your friend, damn sure not through litigation.

Where has Baylor filed suit against A&M? They haven't threatened legal action if they leave. They have only said they won't rule it out, which is exactly what ISU and now KU and KSU have stated. The media/twitterverse have assumed that Baylor would file suit and fans have turned it into we have sued. All he have done is not waive our legal rights. A&M is free to leave. The SEC is making them stay if they can't get releases from all of the Big 12 schools.
