Akron and NIU in top 25 for soccer
NIU has beaten St. Louis, Michigan, and Michigan State and is now #24 with Akron at #3. I wish all the MAC schools were playing men's soccer.

Buffalo is not beating any big names but off to a nice start.. 2-0-1 after having to suffer a last minute coaching change.

Worthless factoid: NIU was the only team to beat my alma mater in thier first Div III national championship season, my freshman year.

I know it's still early in the season, but very impressive to have two top 25 teams for a soccer conference with only 7 teams.

The Michigan State game was an "exhibition" and does not count. The 3 wins are St. Louis, Oakland , and Michigan.

NIU is now ranked 13th (up from 20th last week) and Akron is 4th.

Not much NIU representation on Big Soccer. It would be nice to have more than just Akron fans repping the MAC at the main place to talk College Soccer.
