Midnight Madness was a lot of fun tonight. I just got in from the event and I am very excited for the men's and women's upcoming seasons.

MM started off with a few games involving the students and tons of free pizza was given away.

Then around 11:59-12am we started the countdown for the teams. Both teams ran out and threw t-shirts into the stands.

A game of musical chairs was played with players and coaches and Randy Green beat Shami Gill in the finals.

Then there was a 3pt shooting contest and they did it by pairing a guy and girl hoopster together. I know Marcus Moore and his teammate won but I can't remember her name.

Then, the girls played a scrimmage and Jessica Perry and Ravon Justice played pretty well.

After that a dunk contest was held and I left during that time cause I had to go get my backpack from a friend. Sorry guys..I don't know who won but I know Justin Lyman, Milton Riley(last year's champ) and Cedric Hughey made it to the final 3.

Finally, after the dunk competition we got to see the men scrimmage and the new kid Justin Kordsmeier looked good in the scrimmage. He had some nice moves down low and was quick on his feet and took up space in the inside. He also shot well from 3 pt land. He just has an all around nice game to me and Milton Riley played well too.

I didn't see Marcus Moore play at all but it was nice to see Nick Graham out there playing. umm..Thomas Kelati and Cedric Hughey made a few nice defensive plays and scored some.

That was basically it for Midnight Madness. It was nice to see the teams and coaches out there finally. I can't believe basketball is here already.

I hope my report helped!! =) Go Cougs!

P.S. There is going to be a new sports group started up this year for men's basketball called the "Palouse Posse". WSU athletics was advertising it at Midnight Madness tonight and there is only a $10 membership fee. I signed up to be contacted and I saw a lot of other students signing up as well. Palouse Posse will gain early entrance into men's bball games and get courtside siding, along with getting a pre-game scouting report from the WSU coaches. There is also an opportunity to win a spring break trip giveaway. I am hoping we can get "Cougar crazies" up here like they have Cameron crazies at Duke.
