What prostitute one's self.........

That game is going to be like a bad prison movie, talk about being someone's *****. UTC's football coach or AD needs to dress like a pimp, you know Huggy Bear duds.

3,000 season tickets........03-lmfao

Great to see UTC making a go of it, what ever it takes, I guess. Does anyone know how much support big brother gives little sister?

UTC has support and vision from the president and the athletic department, ETSU doesn't have any of those ingredients.

Prostitute... wow... I guess every FCS and regular FBS (that's anything below the BCS money level) are just a bunch of ho's on a corner... you are either not aware of what a "money" game is about or you just don't understand how the real world of college athletics works. The fact that UTC is balancing a budget on LESS student fee funding than ETSU gets and still playing football is all that matters in this equation.

Don't you think ETSU Men's basketball playing ohhhhh let's say Tennessee isn't the same?? Sure, the Bucs might have a prayer against the Vols BUT the reason for playing is for money, don't get it twisted. And.. uhhh... ETSU's not even been able to get them in the Dome unlike other mid-majors, so they are getting pimped even more than the ones getting home-away exchanges.

As for Big Bro giving little sis money... Not happening. UT-K sends nothing to UTC or UTM... they are actually bastard stepsons that only get the benefits of seeing people "prefer" the Big T attraction and excuses just like the rest of the State schools deal with...

Laugh at the 3000 season tickets all you want, but ETSU barely puts 3000 in the seats on a good night for their PREMIERE SPORT... so UTC's strides in improving their program is admirable and getting respect among their peers.

Too bad they get it and the ol' Buc fans are watching the tailgate from the outside. I'll send you pictures from Boone on Saturday's this fall... they get it too.

I doubt UTC football will ever be anything but a drain on the other athletic teams and the University as a whole.

I don't see having a football team, even a good one at UTC lifting them to a BCS conference so it isn't going to be able to generate enough money to pay for itself.

Unless UTC gets money from big brother (UTC), or they have a big sugar daddy donor, it will always be a negative because it will cost more than it generates.

Boone isn't a comparable situation because NC funds higher education, even at a bottom feeder (in NC terms) like Appy State. I love their campus though, it sure doesn't look like a community college.

I do laugh at 3,000 for a sport that is only played on +-5 home weekends a year.

It might be a "drain" but it keeps them in a viable conference affiliation that is more desireable to most college fans than say ohhh... The ASun.... Don't really know, but I doubt UTC is looking to move up anytime soon for football, but with the changing landscape and the 'sense' that being in a conference like the SunBelt might make geographically for Chattanooga.. I wouldn't rule it out. Rick Hart is a third generation Athletic Director, he's a lot more saavy than what we endure on this end of the state. (His Dad, Dave, was just offered the YouTee job, if the reports are correct).

Also, just as a point of clarification... North Carolina's funding for higher education has no postive impact on Athletics at ASU. As it is in most states, they can't use state allocations for Athletics. They rely on student fees, fundraising, marketing, and ticket sales. There was no state funding for any of the new facilities... again... fundraising and student debt service fees.

Looks like some of the prostitutes did a pretty good job last night hanging in there with old John... and from just eyeballing it.. the FCS faired better than some of the FBS teams... Western Kentucky has either improved or Kentucky just plain sucks... And IS NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL even D1??? aren't they D2??? Playing Rutgers?? That a DAMN GOOD AD there to get that game for them.

Anyway... off to the daily grind.

From the first (great) article straightfrom linked:

Quote:"Overall, our finances have certainly grown in every measurable category – ticket sales, sponsorship, donations, and game guarantees for football and men’s basketball,” he said. “That’s important. The past two years, football has certainly been the engine that pulled the train financially, so to speak.
