Ok, optimists....this forecast sucks a little bit.

I'll take bitter cold over rain/thunderstorms. Let's just assume this forecast changes significantly over the next 24-48.

It's Huskie football. We often get forecasts of rain - even if we have been in a 3-week drought. I usually predict rain for all of our games. I am right about as often as a good weather prognosticator.

I'd much rather have rain than cold, any day of the week.

rain or cold doesn't matter to me, just can't be both at the same time.

This frick'n weather is making me so crazy! I want a big crowd as much as anyone and have a party of 30 coming and feel like NIU is on display here and want things to go right so bad. A program like this depends heavily on game day walk-ups and weather plays a factor for paying attendance and especially students. Why, why, someone talk me down!!

The rain will blow thru late afternoon, and all will be just damp come game time.

Thanks, I'll just have to make the most of it and be happy with that. If we have crappy weather and the students still turn out on a holiday weekend I'll be impressed and know we've taken a first step.

I have used a Ouija board, talked with Nostradamus, who spoke to the all knowing Ditka....
and all forecasts indicate....... FOOTBALL!!!!!BOO YAA!!!!!
And neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, nor the winds of change,
nor a nation challenged, will stay us from the swift completion of the game. Ever.
Welcome back college football.

Closing in on 48 hours to kickoff, and time to mentally prepare for a wet day as at least my wishful thinking has ended. Chance of rain just jumped from 40 to 60 percent since I checked it last nite. Our boys will be ready, no question...

We might even see torrential rains, hail, wind, power outages...and a crowd of 8,000.

Updated hourly forecast on weather.com just has a thunderstorm at 2 PM and clear before and after. We should be fine for the game and most of tailgating.

If I die at Huskie Stadium because of the weather, so be it.

Agreed. I asked to be buried there, anyway. I can just imagine the next Garrett Wolfe tripping over my buried carcass at mid-field on his way to a sure touchdown.

Yep. If I'm gonna go out, couldn't be a better place to do it. Just hope it's on the way back to the car after seeing one last victory and not before the game.

In which case you will then become the "goat" of Huskie Stadium and students will immediately riot to dig you up and throw you in the Kish with all the rest of the bodies!

Can we set this up so only the female students do it? I do believe in the after-life, and I want a good one. 03-wink

Probably more like the next Britt Davis. Sorry, 7.
