"My first encounter with coach Strong was when he was an assistant under Steve Spurrier at the University of Florida. In 1993, a couple of my Pop Warner teammates and I made our inaugural trip up from Punta Gorda to Gainesville to attend Spurrier's summer youth football camp. It was the first of many great experiences there, and Coach Strong made an impact on me. He was involved, engaging, and had a sincerity to him that many, including the "Ole Ball Coach," didn't have with the kids. At the naive age of 13, before understanding the corporate aspect of it all, this was something that resonated with me. "
