See, I bet if a gay person read this they would think "OH SNAP!!"
But when the rest of us do it's "who?"
It was a response to the gentleman from Oklahoma. So I used an Oklahoma reference. Rep.Sally Kern is representative of all Oklahoma Republicans. She says that 'Gay Marriage is worse than the 9-11 attacks".
Is that a direct quote or are you paraphrasing/reaching?
Paraphrasing.. But I think her actual statement is WORSE
read for yourself.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sally_Kern
This is the quote on wikipedia, and it is by no means worse than how you paraphrased it.
Quote:Studies show that no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted more than, you know, a few decades. So it's the death knell of this country. I honestly think it's the biggest threat our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam — which I think is a big threat, okay? Cause what's happening now is they are going after, in schools, two-year olds...And this stuff is deadly, and it's spreading, and it will destroy our young people, it will destroy this nation.
It doesn't even reference 9-11 but you go there trying to reach for hatred. Can you prove her theory wrong?
And by the way, this one statement or Sally Kern in general does not represent the entire Republican Party of Oklahoma. You are a BIGOT that likes to paint with a very broad brush.
Once again you FAIL.

Oh, you can be fired for being straight? If you marry the non-related adult you are sexually attracted to, can you not bring her into the USA as a legal resident? Are there any companies in Oklahoma that pay you less in benefits because your spouse is female?
I didn't realize that Oklahoma was so equal in benefits.
I'm not married so, as I said, I'm not treated by the state any different than gays.
I'm self employed but my personal feeling is an employer can give and take THEIR jobs at any time for any reason. I fire people cause I feel like it.
I have been, I believe, unjustly fired and didn't throw a fit. I accepted and moved on. Every time I've been fired it's been a good thing.

I'll tell you what, when a Gay employer can fire an employee because they are a Baptist or a Mormon (which is illegal), then you can ask me to not call the fact that some Oklahoma Baptist can fire me because I'm Gay unjust discrimination.
But you can marry a consenting non-related adult that you are sexually attracted to and get benefits if you are a state worker and gain a US visa for your spouse. When I can do so, then you can ask me to shut up.

A bigger threat than terrorism. No FAIL here.
Name ONE Republican elected official in the state of Oklahoma that criticized Kern about her violence provoking statements regarding Gay persons.

Going after two year olds? Bigger threat than terrorism or Islam?
So advocating for equality and full citizenship rights for Gay Americans is like raping two year olds or being a terrorist?
Such a good Baptist Republican, Sally Kern.

You can't read the simplest, straight forward statement without torturing it into something entirely foreign.

LazyTom needs "read only" till he stops whining about gays. I wanted to know what LazyTom was personally doing about it, apparently just whining on boards.

Tom's a drama queen that only wants to hear what he agrees with. Will refuse to listen to anything that doesn't line up with his beliefs. He wants his ears tickled.
