The kid had major surgery to repair a broken leg over a year ago. He's back playing. Was with Mac Irvin Fire the predominant AAU program now with Meanstreets (Hi Tai).
A little undersized at PF and stretching his skill set to fit more to being a hybrid or combo forward, this kid, from all that I have read, including an article in a Orthopeadic mag regarding his surgery that his mindset is that of a warrior.
You can't teach that. Contrast that to Spicer out of Detroit that commited to Can't state and you have someone who will always tantalize you with potential compared to someone who will in all likelihood reach his (and his ceiling isnt low).
Plays against very talented folk in the summer (iron sharpens iron) but plays in a HS program that is not known for its success. He is perfectly positioned to accessible and available to Hawk.
Reads very much like Flen but already having learned the lesson that his skill is not a given (injury, surgery and hellacious rehab). All that needs to be refined is extending his skills to the perimeter some.
