So, no Cal Poly game on TV then?
Hello good people from Illinois- Was checking out your schedule, and it appears the only two games you aren't televising are Cal Poly and Kent State.

Do you know if there is any feed that will be available for this game for those of us not close enough to attend?

In 2008, thanks to the Big10Network, we were able to watch Cal Poly put more Yards on Wisconsin than any FBS team they played that year.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lt4yzWNn98

Anyway, let me know if there is a web-feed or something like that for non-televised games.

Thanks!

You could checkout our Huskie All access (pay for use) as it may have a video feed.

It looks unlikely for TV or ESPN3.com. I guess there is a chance that we could get enough advertising interest if we are 4-0 (defeating #10 Wisconsin)

Huskies All-access is your best bet.

If i remember its like 12 bucks for a month. You can sign up for the month and just drop it after the game is over.

Good luck to your football team in every game except us. I watched that Wisconsin game a few years ago on TV. Just needed a kicker and you would have won.

Thank you for that info numbers... and I wish you guys the best of luck in your season as well. You guys were hot last year.

We have one player from Illinois on the team this year- Grant Goebel Montini Catholic (anybody heard of him there? it's like western Chicago suburbs and not that far from DeKalb brother plays for Ohio State) not sure if he's going to be playing this year though, he redshirted last year and has put on a lot of weight.

Anyway, looking forward to the season getting underway.. go NIU and Poly.

Welcome to the board Ken. I'd come back the day of the game. Most of the time we will find a free online stream and post it here. There will also be a "NIU-Cal Poly Game Thread" or something similarly named where we will over analyze and question every coaching decision made.

haha! Ah, true. Good thing I usually don't partake in those threads since I'm AT the game and usually too drunk (high on life?) to assess coaching decisions.

I think the days of free online streams are pretty much over. Feds are really cracking down on that kind of stuff.

Nah they're just being hosted in Europe now. Still just as available as they were before.

As a Monitni alum always hope to see a fellow Bronco succeed.

I have two nephews that attend Cal Poly. Will have to wager a couple of beers on the game. They can pay me back when they fly back with my sister and brother in law to visit family at Christmas time.

There's normally what, 5-10 of us out of towners on the board during home games? It's a blast. Away games get a ton of Huskies posting....
And remember, us posters can drink during the entire Bill Baker broadcast, which is worth it's weight in cheap beer. During the fall, when it gets cold, I am generally making a pot of chili as well during the game. So, the way I look at it:

Beer, Chili, Bill Baker, Dog Pound, Huskie W.

Biggest problem is that each of us tends to have a different feed of the game, so just when you hear it's 3rd and long from the 35, suddenly someone posts in all caps "SPANN FOR HTE TD WOOT!"

Ken Stomper, you would absolutely be welcome in the game thread.

I'll also wager two beers against you.

Either of us can collect if either is in DeKalb or San Luis Obispo.

I'm guessing you're the uncle of Grant Goebel?

Not a relative, just a friend of the program.

If I lose the bet to you, I will have my nephews buy you a beer in San Luis Obispo. Problem is if I win you'll be too far away to pay up. In that case you would have to buy my nephews a beer, leaving me empty handed!

The only way is to subscribe to Huskies All Access at:

NIU Huskies

It's a shame that the game won't be on TV. TV is the best way to market the program. A couple of years ago when NIU and the MAC were smarter, virtually all of our games were on TV. The game against you would have been no exception. Now, thanks to the MAC selling us out to ESPN and NIU selling itself out to ISP, very few of our games are on TV. The Cal Poly and Kent State games have no TV or ESPN3.com coverage. Wish it were different.

As others have mentioned, Huskie All Access is a possible option for watching.
We have been able to listen to games in the past on http://www.670thescore.com .

Obviously not TV but another possibility for keeping up with game at least.
