way to flippin early bowl projections
article with full listing of the bowls

2 of ours getting picks in this one.

NEW ORLEANS
LOCATION: New Orleans
DATE: Dec. 17
TIME/TV: 9 p.m./ESPN
MATCHUP: C-USA vs. Sun Belt
PROJECTION: Southern Miss vs. Florida International

GoDADDY.COM
LOCATION: Mobile, Ala.
DATE: Jan. 8
TIME/TV: 9 p.m./ESPN
MATCHUP: MAC #2 vs. Sun Belt
PROJECTION: Toledo vs. Troy

I did some research on these early bowl picks last year and the accuracy of going to the bowl was just okay, but the actual correct picks were WAY OFF! So don't count on these for anything.

And as we know, Troy & FIU may be the front runners, but we all know anything can happen in the SBC.

They have Oklahoma vs Alabama in the championship, sounds kinda crappy to me. So who would you like to see or who do you think it will be in the championship?

I personally would like to see Wisconsin kick the crap out of some SEC team.

Yeah, two of the top 10 teams all time (arguably both top 5) going at it for the championship sounds crappy to me... 01-wingedeagle

It's more of a personal thing, not that they are not good. I just don't care for Alabama, mainly cause of Saban. I'd rather see a different match up than OU al Alabama... that's all.

Win the conference outright and hope New Orleans takes you again, it is their year to pick first, isn't it?

I'll take Boise State vs any Sun Belt team for the BCS Championship!

Don't get your hopes up my friend. This looks like a wire to wire season for #1 Oklahoma and #2 Alabama in my eyes.

If Texas doesn't bounce back in a big way, OU may not break a sweat but once or twice all season. Things might get interesting in Stillwater, but OU looks like a juggernaut this year and they'll prove it early when they go into Tallahassee in week 2 and beat a fellow top 5 team like a drum.

Who's going to challenge Bama in the SEC this year? Maybe LSU, maybe whoever they play in the conference championship game. I'd say Bama may have a tougher road to hoe through the SEC than OU does through the Big 12, but both will be favored in every game they play this year.

For the first time in a while, I think there is a team out there who will challenge the SEC champion in the national title game. Bama vs OU looks like a heavyweight prize fight to me.

OK State may give OU a run for their money this year. I will also go out on a limb and say that if Boise beats UGA and runs the table they will finally get a shot at the big boy trophy. They have done too much in the past five years to be overlooked anymore. Same goes for TCU.

I do not care who actually plays in the game as long as the champion doesn't come from the SEC.

Even if Boise beats UGA and UGA goes on to win the SEC east, if OU and Bama both run the table, Boise gets shut out again.

Hell, half the games on our schedule are more exciting than Troy vs. Toledo...or Troy vs. any MAC team for that matter. 03-zzz

I think that it would be a very interesting game.
The MAC is projected to have 5 bowl teams. The SBC only 2. The chances are high that the SBC get's 2 MAC teams again this year.

That's because you have 5 bowls; no?

With the addition of N to the Big 10 and TCU to the Big East our tie-in bowls appear to be less accessable this year (Pizza and St. Pete.). So we're probably down to 2. I think the GoDaddy bowl is a C-USA school, that leaves only one game v. the MAC.

New Orleans is a CUSA tie, Godaddy is MAC.
