Source?
http://theweek.com/article/index/202620/...tea-bagger
Interesting article. True, it does mention various people using the term tea baggers to refer to TEA Party members. However, none of them were/are TEA Party members.
Didn't the "September 10" bullet say just that:
"Badges with the message 'Proud to be a Tea Bagger' are still on sale at Tea Party events, according to an article written later in the year."
That bullet links to this article:
http://washingtonindependent.com/67191/t...t-be-named
Now this one isn't in the article, but my favorite early reference is Fox News's Griff Jenkins quoting a headline from ReTeaParty.com -- "Teabag the fools in DC!". The clip also has video of Chad Peace from ReTeaParty.com, and the dude looks like he's in his early 20's, so I'm thinking he knew what he snuck past the Fox censors there.
http://www.dailypaul.com/86334/reteapart...n-fox-news . The "Teabag the fools" quote is about 2:45 into the video.

And which one of those is a case of a TEA Party member calling himself/herself a tea bagger in the early days?

Could be, or the sad-faced blowhard in the US Senate. Sad that he thinks only people who agree with him get to run the government.

According to the latest CBS/New York Times poll the TEA Partis approval rating is 20% so apparently about 80% of us agree with Senator Kerry

What would that same poll show if done on Fox News? Or any other non liberal news source...Its easy to get those results when you only poll your constituents.

The New York Times is THE paper of record and can not be compared to Faux News.

The New York Times is as Liberal as you can get and is not at all THE paper...

One more thing, why does Fox News have the most viewers of any cable News Station? Don't worry I'll wait....

Heh, you're right. FOX may slant things, but that's hardly in the same league as making things up out of whole cloth.

Kerry Proves he is an IDIOT!!!

Doesn't sound like a person interested in compromise more like one for confrontation. A President Barry NEVER offered $4Trillion deal, he pulled back at the last minute.

RE: John Kerry says Tea Party is scum
Since the OP was about John Kerry's comments, I'll point out that 23 different men have been nominated for President, since 1945, by the two major political parties in the United States. Of those 23, I can think of 22 I would rather be President of this country, instead of John Kerry. Every time I see him in the media, I am so grateful that he lost to Bush in '04.
