Joe Biden, Main Stream Media, Liberal Democrats...I think we're all tired of being vilified when all any of us wants to do is bring some sanity back to government. The point of the post was that its our right to do so and that the people (voters) who gave them that power will hopefully take it away next year. I think we are in the middle of a reawakening and remembering that we have the power to change things. The Declaration noted "whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Governement, laying its foundation on such principals and organizing in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness". Well...its time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It never ceased to amaze me how quickly Neocons pull out the constitution and claim it is their bible..and yet they have pissed upon themselves with the support of interventionists policies and massive military that does more to line pockets of the Industrial Military Complex than actually defending America. I also find it funny that they support a police state is now becoming a paramilitary arm of the government and is becoming more and more intrusive in our daily lives. I thought true conservatives were for small government.03-lmfao I submit that today...they are just as BIG GOVERNMENT as the liberals they vilify.

I have no use for either damn gang of thieves.

I still don't know what you're talking about???? If you're referring to my earlier comments (on a different thread) about me favoring a large military that doesn't make me a neocon...it makes me a republican. I've always supported having the biggest baddest military on the block. If you read it you'll also note I said something like I'm in favor of less government through less regulation or something like that. History shows us its ALWAYS good to have the biggest stick!

My post was just my way of saying you're adapting here fairly quickly.

Fo is an anarcho-capitalist, and tends to be a little bit off of mainstream thought. I didn't call you a neocon, though. Don't worry too much because Fo tends to call everyone a neocon.

There is a pretty significant difference between a legal document and one that is not, especially when the central point is constitutional literacy (at least nominally ... it's really the stupidity of Joe Biden from what I can tell).

Not sure I'm following here...

The Declaration of Independence spoke of rights we have been endowed by our creator. The Constitution more specifically deliniates what those rights are without saying where they come from. Merely that "we the people" agree that these things are true. It does not say, "we the government have decided that you the people can have.........", but rather they list the responsibilities (and by definition the rights) of the government. They come from us, not the other way around. It seems to me that the Tea party is primarily about THIS principal.... and as the Acronym implies... they think the government has had enough at the public's "all-you-can-eat buffet". We shouldn't have to argue to get back what is ours to begin with. THEY should have to justify their need.

I also have that attitude. I just see no advantage to building the military empire we now have all over the world. The mess that is now going on is not the type of thing you put troops on the ground to solve. Have some good intel..target the threat and blow the living sh!t out of them and be done with it.

With the gray area liberals, even the plain language is lost, none the less the meaning of the words, we are endowed by OUR CREATOR........ And they don't care.
