Not sure anyone caught this or that it will create that much of an interest, but FDIC auctioned off another Ga. bank. One Georgia which had 1 posh office in downtown and received over $5 million in bailout money. Among those involved, Dr. Betty Siegel.

Thoughts on Dr. Siegel? She has gotten most of the credit for building KSU into what it has become. Does this even make a smudge on one of her expensive suits?

RE: Dr. Betty
Didn't think this warranted its own thread, and it isn't athletics-related, but KSU has raised its $75 million in its fundraising campaign it began in 2007. What's shocking is that it was accomplished an entire year ahead of schedule. This is quite amazing to me because most of this was accomplished during the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. To me it means a lot because it shows our school is really getting on the map in a regional and national sense. It's really exciting to see.
