Julie Peterson Named Pac-10 Player Of The Week
Sophomore goalkeeper recorded back-to-back shutouts against top five teams.

LOS ANGELES -- USC sophomore goalkeeper Julie Peterson (Mission Viejo/Santa Margarita HS) was named Pac-10 Player of the Week (Sept. 3-9) after recording back-to-back shutouts last weekend against No. 5 Penn State and No. 2 Virginia.
Peterson led the Women of Troy to the UCLA Women's Cup title after USC defeated Penn State, 1-0, on Friday and tied Virginia, 0-0, on Sunday. She has a 0.71 GAA on the season.
This is the first POTW honor in Peterson's career and the 13th all-time for USC.
The No. 21 Trojans travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., this weekend for the Wake Forest adidas Invitational. USC will face Vanderbilt on Friday (Sept. 13) and No. 25 Wake Forest on Sunday (Sept. 15).
