Cal Fans went out and did what was necessary to save their program. Ours was not, but can be reinstated. If a bunch of dope smoking hippies who live in trees can do it, ETSU can.

That is a wonderful story. How great would it be for the Bucs to get into the 1AA playoffs after re-instating football? Priceless.

Remember Tulane did the same thing for their football program (with less-glorious results), and they did it in, I think, about 10 days somehow.
It would have been SOO easy for stanton to have publicly announced a similar thing for ETSU football, and $1 million would have been raised in mere months, I can almost guarantee. That's what hurts so bad - that not only would he not try, he wouldn't even let *others* try. That's the sad legacy......
