Actually I was saying I was joking about the idea that Kent State should be looked at because of golf success. Though I was mistaken anyway. Kent State was 19th in the last national tournament but at least in the final rankings we are still only getting votes rather than being ranked anyway it seems.

EDIT: Though we have been ranked in the top 20 before and have won regionals and the like.

Louisville has a golf team...Their own course to. Right down the road is Valhalla golf course where the Ryder Cup and Senoir PGA were just played. I suck at golf but it sure is fun.

BE is a hot bed for soccer which SMU excels in. BE soccer? You ask. The BE got 7 invites to the NCAA soccer tourney last year. That's some serious soccer. But if the BE misses out, the ACC is the next logical choice, they got five invites this year.

the BE is good in both men's and women's soccer

I disagree. It's also a big deal in Ohio. It's a sport of the masses rather than just the elites around here, because there's so many public courses that anyone can play. Disclaimer: I hate golf, so this is not a biased opinion.

golf is big in new england to. i believbe the big east has an ncaa sponserd golf team
