Special Needs Son Harassed by TSA at Detroit Metropolitan Airport


ROMULUS, Mich. (WJBK) - The Mandy family says they were on their way to the happiest place on earth (Disney), but had to go through hell to get there.

"I realize they're trying to keep people safe, but come on, does he look like a terrorist?" said Dr. David Mandy.

The family was going through security when two TSA agents singled Drew Mandy out for a special pat down. Drew is severely mentally disabled. He's 29, but his parents said he has the mental capacity of a two-year-old, which made the experience that followed at metro Detroit's McNamera Terminal that much harder to deal with.

The security at Cowboy stadium for the Mexico v El Salvador game put both the TSA and INS to shame. They didn't bother with metal detectors, just went straight to the pat-downs.

Like I've said elsewhere, it's much better to be around 80,000 happy drunk Mexicans than it is to be around 80,000 pissed off drunk Mexicans.

Uh, did somebody not notice that this mentally disabled man was at the airport with his parents? That certainly is standard OP for terrorists and the identities can easily be proven.

TSA is a carnival sideshow. Great theatre but lousy security that doesn't make us any safer.

Don't forget, though, that the Detroit metro area is home to the largest concentration of Muslim immigrants (Dearbornistan) in the nation. What better reason, then, to spend your time on harassing this family?

The only people who do not understand this are people working for the gov't, TSA or Homeland Security, or the useless idiots of the lefters.
